China had suffered from "COVID-19" at the beginning of 2020 and achieved the critical milestone to overcome the crisis in March. Herocean also stood the test with unity, high efficiency and team work in such situation.
At the end of January, when the Spring Festival Holiday has not yet been over, the HR & Admin Department urgently set up a project team to respond to the epidemic disease. The first adjustment is to postpone all international trips to effectively protect employees' health and safety. Secondly, the Epidemic Prevention Measures and Management Rules was formulated based on work resumption arrangements of headquarter, and updated on a weekly basis based on government real-time policies. On February 10, employees in headquarter officially resume work. The project team was started body temperature, personnel information registration and office disinfection on daily basis to ensure all employees are in a health and safety working environment.
Herocean, which takes the international supply chain as one of its core businesses, assisted donors from Thailand and other places to deliver masks to China when transportation resources were scarce. When epidemic prevention materials were about to be exhausted, the staff of Shipping Department took the initiative to collect the epidemic prevention materials. Even colleagues work overseas donated boxes of masks to the headquarters. It is the spontaneous enthusiasm and dedication that made the work in the special period as usual. The warm details emerging from time to time moved the employees and endowed them with strength.
Since China government has put a lot effort to the epidemic isolation, it gets better and better in China, but got more serious abroad. The challenges to Herocean really began when the first case appeared in Africa. As a result, the project team has drawn up a bilingual version of the Herocean Group's Emergency Manual and share with the overseas team, which detailed the implementation plans and supervisory mechanism for material distribution and storage, body temperature measurement, mask wearing, etc. The "Epidemic Prevention Communication Meeting" was held in four sessions from March 18 to 20 for 10 countries. In addition to introducing the related knowledge, colleagues from the project team also shared experience in epidemic prevention in the past months.
At the end of March, all employees in China has returned to normal work schedule, but overseas countries are still on the alert. Now the project team is focusing on support overseas team to overcome this challenge. Epidemic prevention materials are being transported in accordance with a deliberate plan. Nowadays, we are keeping an eye for the situation while preparing the economy recovery from this crisis.
